A fan coil unit (FCU) is a heat exchange device consisting of heat exchanger coil and forced air fan. Hydronic wall mounted fan coil units circulate hot or cold water through circuits embedded within the coils and moves the room air over, to heat or cool the air in order to condition a space. Hot or cold water provided through an Amitime heat pump would circulate in the coil, to remove or add heat to the air through heat transfer. Speed control of the fan motor within hydronic wall mounted fan coil units is effectively used to control the heating and cooling output desired from the unit.
