From Oil Spill Response
InBuiltRecoverer is the most effective in-built oil recovery solution on the market for collecting light and raw oils. It is a perfect retro-fit for operators looking to improve their collection capabilities of different oil qualities. InbuiltRecoverer is a vessel integrated advancing skimming system designed for work boats from 15 metres to large vessels beyond 100 metres. Using light-weight materials has made it possible to save over 50 % of the weight of traditional systems.
Unique 2-brush solution
Brush solution consists of two brushes, which enable simultaneous recovery of oils with different levels of viscosity. Brush cassette gathers the more viscous oil, while the brush drum located underneath the brush cassette gathers the lighter oil. Brush cassette also collects oily debris from the water, tolerating even larger pieces of clutter. The patented oil scraper can be adjusted during the recovery, ensuring successful and efficient oil recovery regardless of the quality of the spilled oil.
World’s lightest brush cassette construction
SeaHow brush cassette is the first in the world made of plastic. Traditional drive chain system is replaced by connecting the bristle blocks directly to each other by pin joints, forming a block chain.
Using a highly sophisticated, seawater, heat and freezing resistant engineering thermoplastic provides compelling benefits over traditional steel chain structure. The weight of a SeaHow brush cassette is only one third of the traditional unit. In a typical double installation the weight saving of up to 300 kg allows significant increase in fuel load and thus longer operation time.
Thermoplastic is corrosion free and needs minimum maintenance. The complete brush cassette has only two service points. Lightweight makes handling of the brush cassette possible even without a crane. Cleaning of the unit after use is also easy, due to its simple structure and choice of materials.
Smart Sacker system to replace tanks
SeaHow’s SmartSacker sacking system provides an alternative for large tanks on board the vessel. Once a sack is full, it is closed and can be moved to the deck or released to float on the sea. Sacks are then collected from the sea by any assisting vessel equipped with a crane. With SmartSacker sacking system the actual collection speed of any oil recovery unit grows significantly.
Strong jib arms
Strong SeaHow jib arms are easy and fast to deploy and take little space when stored. Arms are always tailored to the customer requirements in sweeping width.
