Incineration Systems and Equipment

0

Technology for the incineration (or thermal treatment) of organic industrial waste fluids is based on combustion science but has the compounding challenges of material handling both upstream and downstream of the combustion process.  Furthermore, the combustion itself can be complex because of the nature of the waste, and also variations in composition and feed rate.  The demands on material durability, fluid flow control systems, structural integrity and plant personnel protection can be very rigorous.

Important design considerations are limitations on effluent composition, efficient use of fuel and heat released in the process, waste stream storage and feed mechanisms, thermal radiation and the visibility of flames.  The long-term reliability of incineration systems depends heavily on the proper design and selection of ancillary equipment such as waste heat boilers and effluent treatment units such as quench systems, scrubbers, salt removal and bag houses. Tulsa Combustion provides systems for gaseous, liquid or contaminated solid wastes.
