DO NOT touch the pad at the end of the strip. Oils and residues from the hands and skin can contaminate the sensor and interfere with its response.
Reseal package between uses and when storing. Store at room temperature. Be aware some cleaning solutions, paints, epoxies, and cigarette smoke, contain ammonia or ammonia-related compounds. Exposing the test strips to such vapors or fumes should be avoided because, as expected, it will result in a color response by the sensor.
NH3 outgases from test samples over time. It is therefore wise practice to conduct testing soon after obtaining the sample solution. (If outgassing occurs, samples testing conducted at different times over extended periods can yield variable test results.)
