Design for Manufacture of Bio-electromechanical Sensors for the Control of Waste Water Treatment Processes. Tested an existing Bio-electrochemical Sensor (BES) in real world domestic waste water systems to determine a correlation in comparison with a traditional BOD5 test.
Designed and tested prototype sensor and validated design including production of a bill of materials and final design drawings. Ensure effectiveness of communications modules in interfacing with existing information processing and a range of PLC’s while maintaining modularity. Production of commercial grade electrical components for the probe assembly. Estimation of energetics including maximum draw as well as operating voltage and power schemes for efficiency. Alpha testing of all sub components and design validation for large scale manufacturing. Beta testing with industrial partners.
