Lanner - Model DS - Centrifuge Drum with Patented Lifting Bottom Technology
In the centrifugal drum there is a hydraulically activated lifting bottom which moves in an upwards and rotational direction. The continuously fed material first fall through the infeed hopper into the drum on the rotating lifting bottom and are pressed against the drum wall under high centrifugal forces. The hydraulically activated lifting bottom moves the chips and/or the grinding sludge upwards to the slot sieve where the liquids are separated from the chips.
At this point the coolant is separated from the chips and/or grinding sludge. After a few lifting cycles the dried material is carried over the edge of the drum and quits the centrifuge downwards through the discharge hopper. This material is then falling into the container or discharge conveyor underneath the centrifuge. The centrifuged coolant can be returned to the production or pumped back for further treatment.
The centrifuge's self-cleaning concept reduces cleaning work to the absolute minimum. The lifting bottom technology saves staff having to clean regularly the drums as they normally would. The centrifuge has a very quiet way of working.
