The ShotoPower III is our premier lab controller and power supply.
It contains all features of the ShotoPower II in addition to the following:
- 15VDC with 3 Outputs (+15VDC, +5VDC, & -15VDDC)
- Power Amp Circuit
- Anapot Circuit
The ShotoPower III contains 3 independently controlled 120VAC outlets that provide up to 1200W of total power.
These outlets are independently controlled by the ShotoLab Software using any of the control features offered by the software. The control options available are:
- Push Button “ON”/”OFF” – to turn a device ON or OFF
- Timed Switches – to turn a device ON or OFF at regular intervals
- Set Point Controllers – turns a device ON or OFF at a specified set point
- % Controller – operate in the same way as your traditional heating mantle power supply
- PID’s – supply the needed power to maintain a specified temperature or setpoint
Ideal for controlling heating mantles, heat tapes, chillers, reflux magnets, liquid pumps, vacuum pumps, or any 120VAC device.
The ShotoLab Interface boards read the output signals from these sensors and feed it back to the computer. The computer then activates the 120VAC outlets to maintain your process parameters.
A ShotoLab System with this power supply eliminates the need to purchase additional controllers and meters required by most traditional pressure and flow transducers.
The 15VDC Power Supply outputs +15VDC, +5VDC, and -5VDC. These voltage outputs will power all the sensors sold by ShotoTechnologies including the Flexible Load Cells. This supply can be used to power all 8 control outputs on the ShotoLab Control Board.
The PowerAmp Circuit is an amplifier with a gain of 3. It amplifies the 0 - 4VDC analog output from the SP Interface board to 0 - 13VDV. It inputs less than 1mA * and outputs 0.5A* of continuous current with a peak of 2A.
The Power Amp powers proportional control valves sold by ShotoTechnologies. It can also power interesting electrochemical reactions.
The Anapot Circuit controls most manually controlled devices when used with the Anapot adapter. If a device has a control knob the Anapot Circuit can control it.** The Anapot Circuit does not just turn a motor “ON” or “OFF” it actually allows your computer to control its speed. Increasing the setpoint on your laptop increases the speed of the device.
When coupled with the SP board and using a PID controller the Anapot Circuit allows you to maintain liquid levels in reactions, automatically feed reagents to maintain pH or specific ion concentrations, flow rates, system pressures, and more. Simply design it and you can now control it.
