Phoenix - Model 986 - Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
The Phoenix-986 AAS is fitted with a motorised flame/furnace switchover at a press of a key, it uses a personal computer to control via a dedicated applications software the instrument and relevant accessories.
The automatic 8-lamp turret provides a multi-sequential AA analysis whereas eight different elements may be selected at one time with their respective measurement parameters and then loaded automatically in the respective order provided by the operator. The settings and adjustments of the instrument's conditions for measurement are completed automatically.
Two Background Correction modes are offered to the user's choice. The self-reversion mode that can be carried out over the entire wavelength range using the same light of a Hollow Cathode Lamp but with a different lamp current and the D2 Lamp Background Correction mode which is ideal for high sensitivity analyses.
An automatic temperature control is secured during graphite furnace measurements. Up to 9 heating steps are allowed with 3 choices of ramp, ladder and full-power heating. All signal and temperature curves may be stored for future recall by the operator.
A complete data report of single-element or multi-element measurements is offered for display and print-out. The spectra of element lamps, standard curves, signal curves, operating parameters and operator's own-defined texts may be displayed and printed out upon demand.
The Phoenix-986 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer can be offered in two options:
1st Option: Phoenix-986 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer Flame Standard
2nd Option: Phoenix-986 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer equipped with the graphite furnace accessory
The Flame standard system measures most elements at ppm level while the system equipped with the graphite furnace accessory enhances the sensitivity of detection down to parts per billion (ppb).
