Plain activated carbon is great for organics because it can trap and hold a wide range of gases. It can be blended with alumina ProGuard 200, 300, or 500 media when multiple contaminants are present. Triple blend is ProGuard 200 or 300; ProGuard 600 and ProGuard 900 is the best solution for air intakes at museums, archives, or commercial building when there are sources of odorous gases nearby.
The ProGuard Blends adsorption and chemical reaction process removes such contaminants as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, nitric acid, formaldehyde, acetic acid, alcohols and VOCs like benzene, chlorine, garlic, onion, gasoline, ozone, phenol, and tobacco smoke.
