From Noise Control
In the event of the occurrence of individual notes we recommend that you use silencers based on the resonance principle. By means of the use of our resonators you can systematically dampen individual notes, but also achieve a effective broadband attenuation.
With dust exposure of more than 10 g/m³ it is recommended that λ/4 resonators be used, as absorption splitters would in this case already lose their acoustic effectiveness after a short time. This is due essentially to the fact that the absorbers become clogged by the particles in the medium and hence slowly become ineffective. As a general rule, cleaning of our λ/4 resonators can be dispensed with.
We carry out the design of our resonators in accordance with your operating conditions and specifications. Adapted to your working medium, pressure and temperature we use the correspondingly suitable materials such as galvanised steel sheet, stainless steel, aluminium or, if necessary, special plastics resistant to chemicals. Also the equipping of the resonator chambers is, depending on the operating conditions, executed with appropriate materials or, if necessary, without the additional use of mineral wool.
