Rotating Drum Filter
From Screens
The rotating drum filter is an electrical machine designed to remove the material piled up in channels or water collecting basins. The machine consists of a fine mesh metal grid (fixed on the full circumference of the drum), a cylindrical rotating structure supported by four legs fixed to the reinforced concrete slab and a system for removing the material deposited in the metal grid meshes. The material is discharged by a hopper into a recovery sump. The machine can operate both automatically and manually. In both cases, it is fitted with limit switches and load limiting devices that stop the machine in the event of an emergency. An electrical panel may be provided to carry out the operations, if required by the user.
