Sediment Filtration Systems
Sediment: It is the clay, mud and all other pollutants that are inorganic and spoil the color of water.
Sediment and particles in water clog machines and installations, create suitable media for microorganisms reproduction and cause energy consumption.
With Ideal AF Series filters, up to 10µ sensitivity sediment filtration is achieved. All the control valves used in these series do the service and backwash processes automatically. The Quartz, Antracite and Filter Ag minerals and linear fibre coated epoxy plated polyethylene tank that make up the system, all meet the world food norms.
In selecting sediment filter, Ideal project team determine the optimum surface velocity according to the rate of flow, sediment and color parameters of your water. They calculate water consumption by determining the amount of particles to be hold on the surface, backwash and rinse periods and finally choose the most efficient system for you.
These systems, equipped with automatic control systems, do the backwash process in 3 methods without the need of human intervention, if wanted;

Dissolved iron and manganese in water causes color, turbidity and bacteria reproduction. Especially, in textile, plastics, paper, leather and food industry iron & manganese result in unwanted outcomes. By means of a special filtration mineral used in filters, up to 5 ppm iron and 2 ppm manganese treatment is obtained.The dissolved iron flowing with a very small velocity among the special mineral is oxidized between the layers and filtered. Iron and manganese put out by backwash is removed by this way. Extra regenerant material is not necessary for the mineral used in filtration. For iron concentration of more than 5 ppm the problem can be solved by using regenerant materials with different minerals.
Automatic iron and manganese filters have the same alternatives with the sediment filters.
