Water Well Depth Indicator Probe
The Heron Well Depth Indicator Probe is used to measure the depth of wells and boreholes. The Well Depth Indicator uses a stainless steel probe fitted with a pressure sensitive plunger attached to either the Heron dipper-T or Water Tape water level indicators. The graduated tape, with two stranded stainless steel conductors is stored on a durable purpose made reel. An audible and visual signal indicates that the bottom of the well has been reached. The Well Depth Indicating Probe is an invaluable upgrade on your Heron Water level indicator when decommissioning wells, installing packers and registering wells with water authorities. Each unit that includes a Well Depth Indicating Probe will be supplied with an interchangeable water level probe. Important: Well Depth Indicator Probes must be ordered at the same time as your Heron dipper-T or Water Tape.

Well Depth Indicator Probe Operation
When the Heron Well Depth Indicator Probe reaches the bottom of the well the plunger enters the probe causing a neodymium magnet to close a switch that initiates an audible and visual signal at the top of the well. When the probe is raised from the bottom of the well the signal stops. The depth to the bottom of the well is read directly from the graduated tape.
