About Us
Nutrition & Health
Nutrition & Health solutions makers work closely with food and beverage customers worldwide to help them make products that meet the growing demand for enhanced nutritional and plant-based products. We design, engineer, and install everything from turnkey process units to full-scale plants. Our food technologists can support you with new recipe development in our Innovation Centers, while our Aftermarket team helps you secure that your production runs smoothly – all the time. The processes we partner with you to create will help you maximize product quality, production yield, and food safety, while our sustainable solutions help you minimize waste, energy consumption, operating costs, and your environmental footprint.
Precision Solutions
Our Precision Solutions team’s work ranges from designing technologies for building bridges and stadiums to processing raw materials and chemical elements needed to make batteries for electric vehicles. During Covid-19, we worked around the clock to ensure our mixers and evaporators helped companies manufacture the vaccine at a record pace. We partner with a range of customers. Some are in the mining and marine industries, others are chemical and construction companies and some need to treat either water or air. Our industrial process solutions include compressed air dryers, mixers, pumps, hydraulic technologies and heat exchangers.
Sustainability in Action
At SPX FLOW, sustainability is more than a buzzword. It’s a way forward.
We understand that we have a responsibility to do our part to make the planet a better place for all of us. We also understand that our customers face the same issues when it comes to using less water, reducing carbon emissions, consuming less energy and other sustainability initiatives while also remaining profitable.
With Solutions that Matter, we’re committed to leading by example to make our world safer, healthier, and more sustainable. We do this by putting people first. Creating opportunity for everyone. Innovating how things are made. Committing to conserve. And giving back to our communities.
We currently hold more than 850 patents worldwide, and roughly 44% of them are related to sustainability and clean technology.
Innovation Speaks Louder Than WordsWater
Water is one of our planet’s most precious natural resources. That’s why we design and engineer solutions that conserve water throughout our organization. From changes within our own manufacturing facilities, to innovating products our clients use in their process systems, our goal is to use as little water as possible while still being productive, efficient and profitable. To learn more about our commitment to water conservation, download our ESG report.
Energy
From how we use energy to power our systems, to the transfer of energy within these systems, energy consumption is a critical element to most all sustainability initiatives. That’s why here at SPX FLOW, we consider energy conservation as a critical function within our engineering, design, and manufacturing processes. Whether that means utilizing technology to maximize efficiencies, or recycling energy within our systems to use less of it, energy conservation is one of our top priorities. Emissions
According to science, emission of greenhouse gases, such as carbon, directly contributes to the warming of the earth’s climate. That’s why as industry leaders it’s our responsibility to ensure that our facilities, as well as the products we make, are respectful of emissions in every scenario. From assisting customers remotely, to developing membrane filtration and evaporation technology that removes excess water from liquid raw materials resulting in fewer trucks on the road, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and helping our customers do the same. Discover more on our efforts to reduce emissions by clicking here.
Waste
Generating waste is part of the industrial process. But waste directly contributes to increased water consumption, increased energy consumption, increased greenhouse emissions and more. Which is why we constantly innovate to cut down or eliminate waste altogether whenever possible. This goes both for our own operations, as well as the solutions we create for our customers. Learn more about our commitment to helping sustain the planet through waste reduction initiatives.
Culture
It’s one thing to talk about sustainability, it’s another thing to live it. Here at SPX FLOW, we constantly strive to build on our culture of sustainability and conservation through programs that help our solution makers work and live more sustainably. We understand that to change the world, we must be the change we want to see. Read how we are doing this in our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report.
