Biology Services
CTA staff includes experts on different biology disciplines to develop biological surveys, baseline data gathering, impact assessment, monitoring and management of endangered flora and fauna species, among others. The evaluations and studies help to determine the environmental quality before, during and after the implementation of a project. CTA studies include terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems monitoring, using bio-indicators.

CTA has a team of professionals dedicated to taxonomic studies of the different taxa, considered biological indicators. Some of CTA´s studies include:
- Characterizations and surveys of amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and plants in different habitats.
- Soil quality determination (nematodes and soil characteristics).
- Management of species considered vulnerable or with restricted distributions to establish in situ and ex situ conservation programs.
- Relocation and reintroduction of sensitive species.
- Monitoring programs.
- Identification of relevant or endangered species and specific conservation measures.
Aquatic Biology:
CTA specializes in studying aquatic organisms. Some of CTA´s studies include:
- Collection, taxonomic identification and environmental quality analysis, using bio-indicators (macro invertebrates, fish, aquatic plants, among others).
- Bioaccumulation of heavy metals and other pollutants in vegetable or animal tissues.
- Identification of relevant or endangered species and specific conservation measures.
- Monitoring programs.
