Hioki E.E. Corporation
Since our founding in 1935, Hioki has been involved in the development, manufacture, and sale of electrical measuring instruments, a category of indispensable tools that plays a fundamental role in modern industry. During the early part of our history, mass-produced meters and testers comprised the bulk of our business, but more recently we have sought to create one-and-only products by utilizing a range of sensor technologies spawned through our development of HIOKI-brand products.

President`s Message
Increase Corporate Value by Staying True to Our Corporate Principles
It is my honor and privilege to greet you as HIOKI’s new president, a position I assumed effective January 1.
Today, as we continue to evolve with our customers in response to progress in electronics technologies, we are proud to offer a diverse selection of models in four product categories, each of which is used in a broad range of industries and fields. Today’s global business environment is characterized by rapid, across-the-board change, and it can be difficult to react to, and deal with, the new realities that result. Yet no matter how much the tenor of the times or the structure of industry changes, distinct measurement needs continue to characterize every era. HIOKI’s mission is to supply in a timely manner measuring instruments that meet society’s needs. Going forward, we will continue to provide products that help facilitate the development of industry by redoubling our commitment to pursuing innovative research and development while anticipating customer needs.
Just as we at HIOKI have always respected the autonomy of each and every employee, we have valued an organizational culture that encourages a vigorous and free-spirited work dynamic. This spirit evolved into a shared sense of values as we sought to give shape to HIOKI’s dual principles of Respect for Humanity and Contribution to Society. Today, I look forward to taking advantage of this opportunity to get back to the fundamentals of those corporate principles. May they inspire and strengthen us as we strive to increase corporate value by becoming an organization that all stakeholders consider essential and worthy of their admiration and love.
Research And Development
The quest for truly useful and innovative measurement tools
Progress in science and technology never stops. Because we want to meet not only current but also future needs of customers, we have to think ahead and base our activities on a long-range outlook. A full ten percent of HIOKI's total sales volume is therefore invested in R&D. We place particular importance on elemental technologies including sensors which are a key field for measuring instruments.
Ease of use and safety are other important aspects. Special development teams are conducting in-depth work in areas such as circuit topology, software, mechanics, design, and quality. Cross-fertilization of topics and technologies is always high on the agenda.
