Appropriate Assessment Services
Appropriate Assessment is now a standard legal requirement for all plans and projects likely to have a significant impact on European sites (Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) or Special Protection Area (SPA). The promoter of any proposed development or land use plan, that is within or near to a SAC or SPA, is required by law to carry out an Appropriate Assessment.
For Greater Dublin’s Regional Planning Guidelines, Natura carried out a Stage 1 (screening) and Stage 2 assessment. Natura carried out a full Appropriate Assessment for the Galway City Development Plan 2011-2017. Natura carried out a Stage 1 (Screening for Appropriate Assessment) and Stage 2 (Natura Impact Report) for the Laois County development Plan 2012-2018 (including amendments).
