Asbestos Inspections, Management and Abatement Services
Asbestos can often be effectively managed in place. Response actions to the identification of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) can include operations and management in place under a written plan (O&M Plan), removal, encapsulation, repair, or enclosure. In any case, the route of exposure should be eliminated.
Griggs & Maloney personnel are trained to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards in the disciplines of asbestos inspector, management planner, supervisor and worker and hold state-issued licenses for these disciplines.
State and municipal requirements for effective inspection, management and/or removal apply to all school, commercial and industrial buildings. Further, no employee may disturb asbestos materials witout proper training under OSHA regulations.
State regulations require that a licensed asbestos inspector observe demolition and renovation activites for any commercial or industrial building to assure that no ACM is disturbed during these activities.
