We operate 17 landfills in the United States. These operations are designed to meet the highest standards of environmental protection while effectively disposing of non-recyclable, non-hazardous solid waste that cannot be diverted.
Our facilities are staffed by experienced operators who employ the most modern landfill operating procedures. To ensure that we continue to meet the highest environmental protection standards, we encourage government inspections of our sites and invest in independent third-party monitoring.
We have also invested in landfill gas-to-energy capabilities at our largest landfills, including Seneca Meadows in Seneca Falls, New York. The facility operates a landfill gas recovery system which generates electricity. We have also created a 200-acre “Renewable Resource Park” at Seneca Meadows that builds on the resources created by the landfill’s 17 megawatt gas-to-energy facility.
