Disposal Services

Proper handling, identification, and disposal of hazardous wastes are one of the more difficult issues facing the American industry today. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) has set forth regulations governing the generation, transportation, storage, treatment and disposal of these hazardous wastes, and calls for severe penalties for the violation of these regulations.

Risk and liability are minimized for your company in a cost effective manner by relying on EEI. By utilizing EEI's total waste management program, a client is able to consolidate into one company all the required capabilities needed to properly sample, analyze, package, label, manifest, transport and dispose of their waste materials. The use of Environmental Enterprises’ facility isolates the generator from problems at the disposal sites. Environmental Enterprises, by law, must ship all materials received as the generator of the waste. In addition, Environmental Enterprises becomes the generator when materials of different DOT shipping descriptions are combined. These actions insulate the original generator from potential future liability under CERCLA. In the history of our company, no generator who has entrusted Environmental Enterprises to handle its waste materials has incurred any CERCLA remediation expenses. Environmental Enterprises is very selective of the off-site facilities utilized for disposal of residuals.

Environmental Enterprises is continuously expanding and improving its efficiencies to offer its customers the greatest value in one stop disposal. Some of the many treatments EEI offer are:

  • Neutralization
  • Fuels blending
  • Energy Recovery
  • Solidification
  • Off-site incineration
  • Oxidizer treatment by chemical reduction
  • Cyanide and sulfide waste treatment via chemical oxidation
  • Laboratory chemical treatment and disposal
  • Facilities for the decommissioning of lab packs and processing of household hazardous wastes
  • Heavy metal wastewater treatment via precipitation and fixation
  • The ability to treat water reactive waste materials via hydrolysis
  • Shredding capabilities for large quantities of hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceuticals and off-specification wastes
  • Recovery of gold, silver and copper by electrochemical deposition
  • Aerosol can processing and recovery
  • Recycling sevices for oil, antifreeze, and batteries

By utilizing EEI's waste management capabilities, a client is able to consolidate at one company all their disposal needs. Most other facilities do not have EEI's full service capabilities.

Environmental Enterprises pioneered consolidation systems by which laboratory chemical waste is processed in a negative-pressure, ventilated room
