Environmental Emergency Regulations Services
From EH&S Services
Through the Environmental Emergency (E2) Regulations, the Federal Government requires the preparation and implementation of environmental emergency plans to manage toxic and other hazardous substances at commercial and industrial facilities.
Under the E2 Regulations, a facility storing or using one or more of the regulated substances above the specified thresholds, or who has a container with a capacity for that substance in excess of the specified quantity, will have to notify Environment Canada of the place where the substance is held, along with the maximum expected quantity and the size of the largest container for that substance.
If the above criteria are exceeded, the facility must prepare and implement an Environmental Emergency Plan and notify Environment Canada.
How Can LEHDER Assist?
Companies that see the value of good, robust information management systems benefit by being able to effectively satisfy several reporting requirements. LEHDER has recognized that value and has developed services to meet the needs of proactive companies.
The LEHDER Environmental Information Management Service (LEIMS) allows Source and Emission Inventories to be developed using well documented methodology and maintained within a single system. This ensures consistency and streamlines data management.
