Environmental Health and Safety Services (EH&S)
Stewart Environmental wants to help our clients be environmentally responsible, while ensuring the health and safety of workers. We have the expertise to develop health and safety plans, perform exposure monitoring, assess exposure, and specify the proper personnel protection equipment to help ease the complex regulation adherence requirements.
When clients receive employee help complaints due to potential indoor air quality issues, we respond performing site assessments, employee interviews, source identification, and air monitoring. Typical contaminants we test for include formaldehyde, lead-based paint, mold, asbestos, and radon. Additionally, we go deeper into the possible causes by evaluating the HVAC system for a building, which has the potential to widely distribute contaminants.
Stewart Environmental is technologically advanced, and we have the proper sampling equipment and high standard operating protocols to test for air, soil, wastes, surface and ground water, radon, asbestos, mold, formaldehyde, radon, and lead-based paint. We have checks and balances to ensure our testing and analysis complies with EPA, OSHA, and NIOSH regulations.
Stewart Environmental also provides plans and training for overall environmental and health and safety compliance of our clients. Stewart Environmental, in conjunction with CSU, teaches the annual week-long refresher course for attendees to obtain certification for the Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM). We perform health and safety training for the 40-hour and 8-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and also the 24-hour emergency response certification. Stewart Environmental also provides training in performing environmental audits, CDOT hazardous materials shipping compliance, SPCC compliance, asbestos awareness and response and environmental compliance.
