Indoor Air Quality & Energy Conservation Services
From Solutions
Modern buildings, from the not so big to very large, must have ventilation air brought in via the HVAC system. Originally ventilation air was to flush out indoor air pollutants that tend to concentrate due to: high people traffic, cleaning chemicals, off-gassing from furnishings, plastic cases of computers, printers, particleboard, pollutants that are carried in on clothing, ventilation outside air that is polluted.

Services Overview
Many years ago, when air was relatively clean and energy costs low, it made sense to ventilate with outside air.
Today, outside air can be extremely polluted especially when weather inversions keep air stagnant. New technology cleans indoor air to achieve lower levels of pollutants than ventilation alone can achieve - and do it more reliably and economically.
Therefore, since purified indoor air is better than ventilation with polluted outside air, it can replace ventilation air. Reducing ventilation air directly reduces the energy required to operate HVAC systems. It is not uncommon to achieve energy cost savings of between 30 and 50 percent. Indoor air pollutants are harmful but they are a very small percentage of the buildings air. Less ventilation air and more recirculation of purified air preserves the investment in conditioning the air.
