Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Mold Experts Services
From Indoor Air Quality
We are indoor air quality (IAQ) experts with the ability to investigate, test and correct IAQ problems in a wide variety of settings including office buildings, factories, warehouses, hospitals, pharmaceutical complexes, multiple family housing, and apartment complexes. If employees or building occupants are complaining of poor air quality or increased illnesses like colds, flu, asthma, weakness, burning eyes, itching skin, rashes, sore throats, allergies, respiratory problems, lethargy, or headaches, there is a possibility this could be related to the building. An indoor air quality survey is the appropriate first step.
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Testing/Sampling for Mold and Bacteria
Our services include indoor air quality (IAQ) testing/sampling for mold and bacteria, including mycotoxins and endotoxins, that may be adversely affecting building occupants. We provide thorough inspections of buildings and HVAC systems including air handlers, filters, ductwork, crawl spaces, attics, rooftops, air intakes, and exhausts. It is important to remember that the HVAC System is part of the air in the occupied space and can be a source, by itself, of an air contaminant that affects the building occupants. We will identify fungal and bacterial quantities and provide a clear interpretation of how the results may impact human health. Our objective is to identify the root of the problem and offer the specific actions needed to correct the situation.
- We can even inspect the interior of HVAC Systems such as filter banks, fans, condensate drip pans, ductwork, ductwork linings, air intakes, returns and diffusers through the use of boroscopes and cameras and testing/sampling/analysis of ductwork dust and debris.
- We are also specialists in asbestos testing/sampling, surveys, consulting, air monitoring specifications, project monitoring services, and expert witness.
- Fires in buildings whether commercial or residential can impact occupants long after the fire is put out. Often occupants of areas not directly impacted can be adversely affected by soot, carbon monoxide, and chemical decomposition. Also after a full restoration, there is often concern about fire residue. We can test after restoration or in areas not directly impacted by the fire for fire residues, such as carbon, ash, carbon monoxide, chemical residues and VOC’s through optical, SEM, and TEM analysis.
- Our indoor air quality specialists can also provide expert witness, litigation support and insurance claims assistance for issues such as mold, chemicals and Legionnaire’s disease (Legionella pneumophila), water damage, and workers compensation. If we have the opportunity to provide an indoor air quality (IAQ) survey for your organization, we would use a step-by-step approach described in detail. AtAtlantic Environmental our priority is to resolve our clients’ indoor air quality problems as quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
