The practice of sweeping kerbside gutters and including Gross Pollutant Traps (GPT) in urban development reduces the amount of waste washed into waterways. While this is a sound environmental practice to requires maintenance and generates wet waste, which has to be dewatered prior to going to landfill. Bioaction have developed two applications to assist in wet waste management: 1. Filtration system to remove contaminates and hydrocarbons from the wastewater. 2. Dewatering system including the primary filter screen, silt trap and filter. These designs reduce both the financial cost or removing and disposing contaminated wastewater and the environmental cost of leachate contamination.
