Crams - Risk Assessment of Pushing & Pulling Tool (RAPP)
Our pushing and pulling risk assessment is based on the HSE’s own RAPP tool, which we’ve simplified and made available online. This tool is designed to help you identify high-risk manual pushing and pulling operations that involve whole-body effort, and will also help you assess the effectiveness of any risk reduction measures already in place. It can be used as a standalone resource, but if you’re using CRAMS to manage your health and safety at work obligations you can easily import completed RAPP assessments into your full risk assessments.
Our free online tool will help you assess activities involving loads on wheeled equipment, such as laundry trolleys, cleaning carts or roll cages, and also loads with wheel, where dragging/sliding or churning may be necessary.
Each type of assessment is accompanied by a flow chart, assessment guide and score sheet. The flow chart provides a clear overview of risk factors and the assessment process, while an assessment guide provides information to help you determine the level of risk associated with the activity. Once completed, score sheets can be easily distributed to colleagues.
Assessing risk in the workplace has never been simpler. Use our innovative suite of tools to build site, people, task or product-specific assessments, and tie them to method statements to create safe systems of work.
Course completion tracking ensures that you can keep on top of your workforce’s training requirements, and included in the low monthly subscription is access to over 50 free health and safety courses.
