Emission Master Software
Our calculation platforms help the user to rapidly model chemical processes using the latest US EPA equations and techniques. Software features calculations for: (1) US EPA Chapter 16 equations and calculation methodologies for batch and continuous processes. Available process operations include filling, purging, heating, vacuum, depressurization, gas evolution, solids drying, and others. (2) US EPA Chapter 7 equations and calculations for fixed and floating roof storage tank operations. Implementation is more advanced than EPA Tanks 4.09 software. (3) Combustion calculations for boilers, thermal oxidizers, generators, and other operations involving the burning of fuels. Can use the EPA Fire emission factors. (4) Fugitive emission calculations as defined in Protocol for Equipment Leak Emission Estimates (EPA-453/R-95-017).

Models Emission Master's foundation is built from mathematical models which allows the program to correctly calculate emissions produced through different phases of a batch process. A partial list of process models includes: Empty Vessel Purge, Vacuum Operation, Solids Drying, Holding, Filling, Purging, Heating, Combustion, Factor Based, Depressurization, Gas Evolution, Reaction, and Fixed Roof Storage Tanks.

Databases Emission Master supplies its user with a selection of databases. Our Chemical's Database contains 117 commonly used chemicals and is readily expandable by the user. Other databases include: Equipment Database, Inert Gas Database, Reaction Gases Database, Process Database and the Classifications Database. Tank Farm Import :
Tank farm data including waste solvent storage activities as well as normal solvent storage operations are entered into an Excel file. Excel data should include Start Date, End Date, Solvent Name and Transfer Volume, and Normal Daily Contents Volume (in % tank capacity) for each Storage Tank Vessel. The new Tank Farm Import Utility is launched from Emission Master applied to access the data contained in the Excel file. Data from the Excel file is read into Emission Master and a complete storage tank modeling file is created. The resulting Emission Master file can later be imported into Emissions Accountant for regulatory reporting purposes.
Vessel Inspector Window
When modeling complex processes that require several vessels and many activities, it is easy to loose track of the batch contents in different vessels. The Vessel Visualization Window was developed to quickly provide the user a graphical picture of the contents of all vessels in process. The contents of each vessel is shown consisting of vertical rectangular boxes to represent the different compounds and horizontal boxes to represent the different phases (aqueous, non-aqueous, and solids) that might be present in the vessel. Selecting different activities in the process will result in the Vessel Visualization Window to display only the vessel contents at the selected activity. Double clicking on the contents graphics will cause a secondary window to appear to display much more detail composition information.
The Reaction Module enables the user to specify a change in composition of a mixture through a reaction, extraction, precipitation, or other process phenomenon. Compounds that are removed from the process are chosen from the current process mixture as Reactants while compounds (or Products of the Reaction) that are formed from the change are selected from the Chemical Database. Stoichiometry for the reaction is entered in moles or weight units (lb or kg). Reaction products can be designated to form in any possible phase.
Vent Path Database
The Vent Path Database is where one might store frequently used Vent ID's with all of the associated control devices that are present in the vent path. Each vessel can have as many unique vent paths as are needed by the process. Additionally, the user can open an existing Emission Master file and import all of the vent paths that are present.
Control Device Analysis
A powerful new utility that have been developed called the Control Device Breakdown Malfunction Abnormality Report. This new utility can analyze one or more processes that were running at the time when a common control device experienced an outage. Emission Master creates a comprehensive report regarding the emissions that were released to the atmosphere during the outage period.
From Emission Master the user selects the Emission Master processes that were operating in the factory during the control device outage. Once all of the effected processes have been selected and the steps highlighted, Emission Master runs the complete emissions analysis and shows the emissions that would have occurred if the control device had been operating normally, if the control device had been down, and the difference between the two conditions.
