Continuous water quality monitoring combined with web-based software allows for an early warning of toxic algal blooms in lakes, seas, and desalination plants.

A floating buoy system measures essential algae indicators (Chlorophyll-a, Phycocyanin, and Turbidity) and water quality parameters (Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Redox, pH, and Temperature) in order to monitor the water quality. The measured data can be viewed in real-time via a web-based software called the MPC-View.

Key Benefits

  • Real-time water quality monitoring
  • Automatic antifouling wiper ensures optimal readings
  • Water quality monitoring for effective ultrasonic algae control

By incorporating additional sensors to the standard sensor package, it is possible to get a complete overview of the water quality and quantity of lakes and water reservoirs.

LG Sonic offers to possible to include additional sensors such as depth level, GPS and solar radiation sensors for even better algae prediction.

The MPC-View is an advanced web-based software. The software allows to generate a complete overview of the water quality of one or multiple water bodies.

Dashboard with an overview of the water quality

Customers can log in to the software, where they can find a personal dashboard with an overview of the water quality.

Image

Set up alarms for changing water conditions and maintenance activities

The software allows users to set up specific alarms to inform about changing parameters or maintenance activities. Users receive an e-mail notification when the alarm goes off.

Image

Visual insight into various parameters at a specific moment in time

The software provides insight into the water quality, algae trends, and progress of the ultrasonic treatment. Furthermore, the software shows technical parameters, such as the status of the ultrasonic transmitters, signal strength and the battery strength.

Site maps with accurate GPS location of the installed systems

Geographically pinpoint the accurate location of the installed systems. The location, most recent data from each site, and the placement date of the devices are viewable in real-time via the MPC-View software.

Upload water quality reports to generate a complete overview of all relevant data

Users can easily upload their water quality data reports in the MPC-Buoy software. This way the software provides a complete overview of all relevant data.

Based on real-time water quality data LG Sonic is able to modify the ultrasonic program to the specific water conditions.

The real-time water quality monitoring is automatically integrated in the MPC-Buoy system. The MPC-Buoy contains detailed monitoring equipment, providing a complete overview of the water quality and controls the algae accordingly by using ultrasound. Web-based software (MPC-View) allows users to visually follow the water quality and the progress of the ultrasonic treatment.

In lakes and water reservoirs the presence of different algae species is in a state of constant change. Therefore it is important to monitor the presence of the current algae species in order to optimize the ultrasonic treatment.

1. Real-time water quality monitoring

The MPC-Buoy provides a complete overview of the water quality by collecting the following parameters every 10 minutes: Chlorophyll α (green algae), Phycocyanin (blue-green algae), pH, Turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen, and Temperature.

2. Adapt ultrasonic program

Based on the received data water quality experts from LG Sonic modify the ultrasonic program to match the algae present in the water and prevent the formation of new blooms

3. Visual insight in the water quality

MPC-View software allows users to view the data of their water body in real time. Users can visually follow the progress of the treatment and status of the devices

The customer can visually follow the progress of the treatment and status of the devices

MPC-View software allows customers to view the data of their water body in real time. The web-based software receives, summarizes, and publishes data into charts, tables, and spreadsheets on your personal webpage. The MPC-View allows users to follow the progress of algae treatment and the status of the units.

Our employees receive water quality data, verify current status, and modifies ultrasonic program

Based on the real-time data, ecologists, biologists and technicians from LG Sonic verify the current status of a lake or reservoir and modify the ultrasonic program to match the algae present in the water and prevent the formation of new blooms.
