This 2-day course is for operators, technicians, engineers and managers of aerated stabilization basins. Biological treatment concepts for ASBs will be reviewed. Effluent treatment plant microbiology (filamentous and non-filamentous) will be related to ASB performance. Management and operation of the key control elements for ASBs will be discussed. It is operations oriented providing practical information for day-to-day operation. Attendees will participate presenting their operational approaches to various topics such as nutrients, aeration and basin sludge removal.
