It also emphasizes the individual’s focus on excellence and professionalism throughout their career and it recognizes that the individual has attained a status identified by peers, superiors, and subordinates.

This streamlines the application process resulting in a shorter turnaround time for the applicant. With the Canadian Branch, Institution of Fire Engineers being accepted and recognized as the only fire engineering professional designation on a global scale, this partnership allows an individual with CFO designation to apply for membership as an associate, graduate, or member status with the Canadian Branch.
The application process is simple and is available in both official languages (Download the Application Information and Procedures). Answer all of the questions as completely as possible and submit the application form with the $200.00 application fee.
Membership in the CAFC is a prerequisite in order to attain the CFO Designation.
