DUET - Comprehensive Training Program
As part of its comprehensive training program, AcousticEye offers three courses for Pulse Reflectometry (PR): Level I and Level II as well as a specially customized Level IA for quality managers and/or circumstances in which conventional NDT certification practices are not required.
All courses follow the general outline of industry recommended formats as described in ASNT SNT-TC-1A and/or CP-105-2006 and are taught by expert AcousticEye instructors.
Following the training, documentation will be provided by AcousticEye indicating the student's performance on the qualification examination and the completion of the specified course. Acceptance of this documentation and any associated certification is the responsibility of the individual's employer.
In this 3 day program, a classroom sessions introducing the theory of pulse reflectometry (PR) is followed by an overview of DUET™ system operation and hands-on practice. Successful completion of the course will equip the student with the capabilities necessary to perform an on-site inspection using the DUET™ system.
Who should attend Level I
Any individual interested in learning the basic technique of dual mode Pulse Reflectometry and/or performing tube and pipe inspections using the DUET™ system in an NDT environment.

This course includes a total of 24 hours over 3 days. For successful course completion, a 70% minimum per exam with a total composite grade of 80% is required.
- Day 1 : Theory | Acoustic Pulse Reflectometry (APR) Theory | Ultrasonic Pulse Reflectometry (UPR)
- Day 2 : System Operation | Instruction System Operation | Hands-on Practice
- Day 3 : Review Examination
In this 5 day program, the theory of pulse reflectometry and principles of PR analysis are covered in-depth and are followed by intensive hands-on training sessions. Individuals completing this course will be able to perform analysis of Pulse Reflectometry data and prepare inspection reports from the DUET™ system.
