In this 2-day intensive training participants will learn how to do a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study.

The training includes the following topics: 

  • Basics of LCA methodology
  • Relevant guidelines and standards (ISO 14040, ISO 14044)
  • Goal and Scope, Functional Unit
  • Setting up a life cycle model
  • Specifying foreground processes
  • Considerung the use phase and different end-of-life scenarios
  • Introduction to LCI background databases (ecoinvent 3, GaBi)
  • Calculation of inventory (LCI)
  • Working with Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) methods
  • Sensitivity analysis
  • Interpretation
  • Documentation
  • Practical hands-on example using Umberto NXT LCA software
