Course Details
Course Overview
The advanced and specialized MASAR training course offers independent, practical, user-minded and comprehensive perspectives on various aspects of membrane fouling and technology applications, based on extensive technical expertise and hands-on and plant experience of the course leader of over 35 years worldwide.
The course's presentations, problem-solving techniques, demonstrations, guidelines and discussions reflect this enormous and unique combination of technical expertise, practical experience and on-site training of plant and business managers, engineers, operators and academic and industrial researchers and scientists since 1983.
Technologies to be Covered
The course's 4-hour discussions focus on fresh, practical and proven methodologies, techniques and approaches that address major technical issues related to the identification, measuring and monitoring critical types of membrane fouling in real time.
It also focuses on technology transfer of proven and field-tested practical and analytical methodologies to measure and monitor and optimize the performance of membrane systems, such as RO, NF, MF and UF. The course trains participants on how to effectively manage membrane fouling via innovative real-time and early detection, monitoring and resolution before the membrane system starts to suffer irreversibly or undergo massive and unscheduled cleaning cycles, maintenance shutdowns, membrane replacements and losses in productivity, quality and overall cost effectiveness of desalinated water.
What Will You Learn & Gain?
• KNOWLEDGE & FOCUS:
Get an in-depth knowledge of effective membrane fouling prevention and control strategies as well as filed-tested techniques to identify the critical types of UF/RO membrane fouling, including biological, organic/TEP and colloidal/iron fouling
• TECHNOLOGY & TECHNIQUES
Gain an intimate look on how to use new, innovative and data-proven system for monitoring and gain a unique look at evaluating innovative methodologies, and how to apply them with your data and research.
• INNOVATION & TOOLS
Explore how to detect and measure any developing fouling in your UF/SWRO system in real-time and very early, usually when your plant is still seemingly producing the required, design or guaranteed flow and quality, and before any irreversible or catastrophic failures occur.
• EXPERIENCE & PRACTICE
Attain practical experience from exploring membrane desalination and filtration plant case histories involving hands-on investigations, in-depth analyses and problem-resolution ending in major plant performance improvements and savings in energy, chemicals consumption and maintenance.
• HANDS-ON DIAGNOSTICS
Witness an established diagnostic technique for autopsying a real plant fouled membrane element and learn how to sample, inspect and identify fouling incidence.
• REFERENCE & GUIDANCE
Learn how to use the attained knowledge, technology and tools to better understand all practical aspects related to membrane fouling while developing and strengthening your own personal and professional skills and knowledge.
• PARTICIPATION & INTERACTION
Interact with group discussions, experience-sharing, problem-solving and one-on-one consultations to maximize your efficiency and productivity.
Our training courses are distinct in the water desalination industry today where attendees receive a high-quality, interactive and multi-media CD-ROM with all presentations and technical materials.
Attendees also get the opportunity to initiate one-on-one consultations, time-permitting, with the course leader on their specific membrane fouling issues and their specific applications, research or studies.
