Open Water Sport Diver (OWSD) Course
The Open Water Sport Diver (OWSD) course is a Professional Scuba Association International (PSAI) entry-level certification course. Upon successful completion, students will have proven their competence to use standard scuba diving equipment and engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those encountered in training.

Training Overview
The OWSD course covers the fundamentals of diving physics, diving physiology, equipment selection, the buddy system, air consumption, general decompression procedures, safety rules & procedures and the care and maintenance of equipment. Quality is a founding principle of all PSAI training courses and you will receive the highest possible level of classroom teaching, as well as pool and open water training. The course is predominately skills based, with a final maximum certification depth of 18 meters.
Prerequisites: Minimum age is 18; however students between the ages of 10 and 17 can participate with appropriate written consent.
