OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Online Training Courses



Whether required for employment, or adding to your resume, The OSHA 10 hour safety training courses are an ideal starting point for any employee to become acquainted with basic health safety training and to learn about hazards in the worklace. The OSHA 10 hour outreach courses provide students with an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and an overview of OSHA Standards for professionals in construction as well as general industries. OSHA Institute of America providesOSHA accepted10 Hour Outreach training courses that are reciprocal in all 50 states. Upon completion of the course, students will receive temporary proof of certification and an official Department of Labor (DOL) wallet card will be send within 6-8 weeks.

GHS and OSHA Hazardous Communication

Workers are exposed to hazardous chemicals daily in the workplace. Such conditions pose a serious health threat to the worker. OSHA requires training regarding chemical hazards in the workplace. In this course you will learn about the HazCom (Hazardous Communication) Standard and the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS), and how to use Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and chemical labels to protect yourself from hazards or react to chemical exposures. Employees must be trained regarding GHS by December 13, 2013.

This course gives you a basic understanding of how to deal with hazardous chemicals and how workers can prevent and protect themselves from chemical hazards.

Students have 6 months to complete the course and may take the final exam up to three times. Completing this course will meet the requirements to maintain compliance with the workplace safety OSHA standards.
