TNA based Refresher Training for Asbestos Removal Operatives
This annual refresher training course is designed to cover the key training needs of an individual asbestos removal operative. The employer will complete an ARCA Training Needs Analysis (TNA) form indicating the areas of the operative’s knowledge of asbestos removal practices and procedures need updating or refreshing.
ARCA will use the TNA form to deliver the course content and ensure candidates receive their specific training needs, and also cover any other industry highlighted elements.
This refresher course will enable candidates to enhance their knowledge and practical experience to continue to work safely and effectively as an operative, as stated in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidance.
Candidates will be given a multiple-choice test along with practical tests (both carry an 80% pass mark) relevant to the elements covered in the course. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of attainment which will state the elements covered.
One day at ARCA centres throughout the year.
