Aerial Firefighting System - The FLORY 26 Helicopter Bucket [Showcase] - Video
The FLORY 26 Aerial Firefighting System is a helicopter bucket designed to quickly put out fires. Multiple discharges, 13 m dispersion width, and 3 sec charge time are only some of its features. http://flory26.letina.com/
Chapters:
0:00 Intro
0:11 Attachment and lift-off
1:09 Charging
1:38 Static discharge demonstration
2:37 Mobile discharge demonstration
4:37 Landing and decoupling
4:49 Firefighter ground crew demonstration
In this video, Croatian pilots and firemen demonstrate how to operate the monsoon bucket - from attaching it to the helicopter, lift-off and recharge, to its incredibly low level of sway in flight and massive dispersion area.
The helicopter bucket is suitable for urban areas, as it's fine dispersion causes no 'water bombing' effect. The FLORY 26 is fitted with a fire-retardant system that can be used mid-flight to mix in coagulants or foams with the payload.
A clever bottom aperture with a pneumatic operation system is responsible for the monsoon bucket's extremely quick charge times and capability of a staggered discharge of the payload.
'Stainless steel technology' is the tagline of Letina, the company behind the FLORY 26. The helicopter bucket was carefully designed and balanced to remain in the pilot's sight during operation. When full, it doesn't tilt or sway and allows the pilot to precisely aim the payload.
The bucket is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, which boasts impressive corrosion-resistance. The bucket can be used in maritime environments indefinitely. Opening the aperture makes the helicopter bucket buoyant, allowing the helicopter to uncouple from it and become available for more pressing matters - returning for the floating bucket after it's done.
FLORY 26 doubles as a rescue bucket in an emergency, capable of saving 2 to 3 people from the fire.
A valve is installed to the tank, allowing it to serve as an incredibly mobile water reservoir - resupplying the ground firefighter teams or quickly bringing water to dehydrated people.
The FLORY 26 Aerial Firefighting System is designed and manufactured by Letina - a company dedicated to producing the most technologically advanced stainless steel tanks available. We have over 41 years of experience in this industry. http://letina.com/
