High Efficiency Lamella Separator ESL (EN 858, CE) - Video
The lamela separators (according to EN 858) separate light liquids (e.g. oil, petrol) and sand from sewages, which flows due to gravity, in the rainwater sewage system before allowing it into receiving waterways (sewer, river, lake, sea). The light pollutants are liquids of density a bit less than water (up to 0.95 g/cm3) that either do not occur in natural waters, or occur in insignificant quantities.
