Making the use of Hydrogen Safe Video
Researchers and explosion experts in the HySEA consortium examine what happens when hydrogen leaks and ignites in containers and small enclosures. The purpose is to improve international standards on how to design containers for storage and processing of hydrogen, such as compressors. For hydrogen to be accepted as an energy carrier, it must be perceived as safe to use. We coordinate the EU-funded project HySEA, where the goal is to improve international standards on vented explosions and thereby increase safety.
