NIC MA-3000 Direct Thermal Decomposition Mercury Analyzer Video

Up to 86% time saving without wet pre-treatment

The MA-3000 is a global standard model of our thermal decomposition mercury measuring equipment that was developed in response to customer’s needs for equipment usable without “special knowledge” or “troublesome wet pretreatment.” Without wet pretreatment using acids or alkalis, samples such as waste, soil, coal, and foods are directly, simply and quickly measured. Compared to the usual wet pretreatment-mercury measurement, the required time can be shortened by up to 86%.

The sample undergoes thermal decomposition treatment under pre-set conditions and mercury is atomized, then mercury alone is concentrated in a special mercury collector tube as gold amalgam.

Interferences not necessary for measurement are almost completely removed by the removal mechanism such as the combustion tube.

Afterwards, the mercury collector tube is re-heated, and vaporized mercury is measured by atomic absorption spectroscopy.
