SciBRINE Salt Dissolver Brinemaker Video
Clear, consistent, continually-produced saturated brine from a Scienco® SciBRINE™ Brinemaker is ideal for ion exchange, food-processing, textile dye-setting, chemical industries, or for applications with large water softening systems, the SCIENCO® systems are built to meet the standards of the the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Federal Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) food processing requirements.
Units use a Downflow Brinemaking process - which assures consistent saturation of brine as
the influent water rises and the higher density brine sinks. With rock and solar salts, sludge accumulates at the bottom of the tank for easy removal. In addition, this permits the desalinization of sludge by backwash leaching. Because of these advantages, all of the SCIENCO Brinemakers employ downflow brinemaking.
The System's fill point meets with most salt tuck delivery systems or front-end loader buckets sizes. The tank can be made locally with design specs provided by the Engineering staff of Scienco/FAST.
All electronics are housed in the weather proof Nema-4x Levetrol® Level Control Panel for safety and convenience.
Salt-brine is a mixture of ~25% water to salt and is generally made using a brinemaker system. The brine-making system is designed to create a solution by dissolving large amounts of salt in a batch process that can be used as a food additive, a chemical feed for various chemical processes, ion exchange/water softening process, pre-wetting solution for anti-icing of roadways, or pretreatment for snow removal,
The tank is made from filament-wound, reinforced, corrosive-free fiberglass for the greatest combination of strength, durability, and economy. All types of salts can be used: rock, solar, and granulated food grade.
