They are made of 99.97% pure silver By rubbing the filter with a penny, twizzers, or similar object, the user is actually creating a reflective surface. Be careful, this could lead to a loss of porosity

So there's the normal membrane. See, this one's been polished. And then we can polish this one. Just rubbing it with a coin. You sort of see where it's been polished. But it will polish down. So it's the light reflecting off thesurface of the membrane that causes it to create visually white. And then we polish the surface and it makes a polished silver.
