The company rented nearly 30 of its jumbo cleaners to a contractor involved in the cleanup effort to suck oil from the water's surface and to pick up pools of washed-up crude from beaches. Vac-Tron modified its equipment to better collect oil along the water surface and on beaches affected by the oil spill.
