  • Continuous Monitoring of Wastewater

The Sorbisense method allows for efficient monitoring of the sewage system and can help reduce costs of operation and environmental impact. The method is particularly well suited for tracking the source of periodic discharges, the identification of faulty pipe connections of the measuring of values in the recipient. The method also allows for measurements in dynamic sources - such as emissions from roads, roofs, parking lots and overflow

  • FEDI - Electrodeionization

The Fractional Electrodeionization (FEDI) process is an advancement of conventional EDI. The patented dual voltage process allows for a higher flexibility and tolerance to inlet water conditions, thus lowering the risk of scaling, and improving the plant’s design economics and reliability. By incorporating a two-stage separation process with different voltages the FEDI® process is able to: Achieve a higher hardness tolerance by having distinctly different concentrate chambers with separate reject streams and thus reducing the potential of hardness scaling. Optimize power consumption by using higher electrical current only where required. Ensure the best water quality, continuously & consistently by removing a major part of the deionization load in the ‘hardness removal zone’, while residual ionic impurities are effectively removed in the ‘silica removal zone’, which stays in a polishing mode.

  • NH3 Monitoring in Air

NH3 (Ammonia) is a colorless gas with a distinctive pungent smell. Ammonia monitoring is essential in coal-fired power plants, where NH3 is used to reduce NOx emissions. The ammonia consumes all of the NOx, but its high concentration that is needed for these purposes also starts reacting with other things and in the process can clog up filters and cause premature failure of expensive SCR equipment and pre-heaters. Not to mention that these high levels create an irreparable damage to the environment.

  • Monitoring industrial trade discharge for wastewater treatement industry

Industry has had to respond to the requirements of progressive environmental legislation such as the Urban Waste Water Directive, IPC, IPPC and now the EPR (Environmental Permitting Regulations). As successive legislation becomes more stringent, discharge consents have been progressively tightened, and the need for self-regulation has become more important. As a consequence, on-line instrumentation has been installed throughout waste-water industry to continuously to provide trade discharge monitoring and perform continuous water analysis for key consent parameters.

  • Monitoring of Harmful Algae Blooms

At frst it seems impossible: how can a sensor on board of a satellite circling the earth at an altitude of some 700 kilometers not only identify the total biomass of algae in the water, but also identify species of algae. This is related to what remote sensing specialists call the refectance spectrum of the water. The spectrum is a specifc fngerprint that is created by measuring the refection of water using extremely sensitive sensors, either onboard of a satellite or inside our equipment on the ground. We use a variety of algorithms to translate refectance spectra into concentrations of specifc compounds and phytoplankton species

  • Diverse Surface Treatment Technologies for Military Industry

We have developed washing techniques and technologies for the military industry in keeping with high military standards of safety and efficiency, using water jets and the sanding power of aluminum oxide. We are currently creating an anchor profile that will allow us to file a plating patent application for an exclusive, entirely automated surface treatment which prolongs engine life in extreme conditions. At IST Pure, we also manufacture washing tunnels for the complete cleaning of military vehicles and ballistic equipment to prepare for and return from missions.

  • Continuous Instream Monitoring

Turbidity in natural waters is recognized as an important indicator of its environmental health, and because it's a good surrogate for suspended sediment, monitoring turbidity has always been the "holy grail" for hydrologists. But because of earlier technology, "turbidity" has traditionally been a "bad word". The DTS-12 turbidity sensor is the first sensor to make turbidity monitoring practical, and no longer difficult, inaccurate, expensive, or labor-intensive. Turbidity is the cloudiness or murkiness of water caused by suspended organic or inorganic materials. Turbidity in natural waters is recognized as an important indicator of its environmental health.

  • Disposal and Cleaning Equipment for Waste Water Industy

Drinking water is not the only area requiring flow monitoring. The disposal and cleaning of waste water also requires flow meters. Waste water used to be dumped directly into the soil or an open channel. As awareness has increased, most discharges are now treated to assure long term sustainability. Modern water treatment plants are highly complex systems that require the use of flow sensors to monitor flow velocity in open channels for waste water discharge. Likewise facilities for waste water collection and clarification plants need regular data on flow rate. The use of radar non contact flow measurement and ultrasonic doppler flow meters are particularly efficient. HydroVision can complete flow measurements in all of these areas.
