Vacuum excavation solutions for diamond saw slurry

by Vac-Tron Equipment     based in Okahumpka, FLORIDA (USA)

Concrete Cutting Contractors use our LP555SDT for saw slurry clean‐up. Concrete cutting using a Diamond Saw is the process of cutting expansion joints on freshly paved concrete roads. After cutting, water is used to eliminate dust thereby creating a slurry. This slurry has to be cleaned up due to EPA Regulations and the Vac-Tron vacuum excavator is the preferred clean-up method. Using water to create the slurry and then using the LP Series - Wet/Dry Industrial Vacuum Excavation System to eliminate any residue. Contractors perform this application frequently for airport runways and highway repair, as well as new construction.

Oxygen Generating Systems for Sewage Treatment

by Oxygen Generating Systems Intl. (OGSI)     based in North Tonawanda, NEW YORK (USA)

Using Oxygen to Solve Waste Water Problems Lack of oxygen can cause inadequate purification or even anaerobic decomposition, as well as offensive odors. Injecting oxygen into sludge beds &/or piping allows you to: * Reduce nitrogen levels * Meet peak O2 demands * Have a back up to your aeration system * Pre-purify waste water * Control odors * Deter corrosion damage * Meet increased requirements regarding waste water purification

Data analysis and visualization tools for monitoring well decommissioning

by C Tech Development Corporation     based in Henderson, NEVADA (USA)

Contaminated groundwater sites worldwide are engaged in regular sampling of monitoring wells at a typical cost of $1,500 per well-sampling event. On most sites, many wells are redundant or geostatistically insignificant and can be decommissioned.
EVS-PRO and MVS`s Well Decommission module analyses all available data and quantifies the impact on site assessment quality associated with removing each well. The impact of removing a well is quantified in terms of its impact on the geostatistical plume extent.
During remediation plumes are shrinking and may drift. This can necessitate decommissioning of some wells and adding new wells. C Tech`s well decommissioning and DrillGuide© technology provide the tools to properly monitor and guide the remediation efforts at the lowest possible cost.

Tunnels

by Manas Geo Tech India Pvt. Ltd.     based in New Delhi, INDIA

The geotextile performs two primary functions when used in the construction of tunnels:- 1. Protection of the linear from abrasion and puncture by protrusions from the base surface of the tunnel well. 2.Drainage of water seeping through the rock and sprayed concrete layer. The in-plane oermeability of the geotextile enables the water to flow to a subsurface drainage collection system. where it is directed awa from the tunne

Cooling Towers and Process Water System Cleaning Applications Using Hydrogen Peroxide

by USP Technologies     based in Atlanta, GEORGIA (US) (USA)

The unique properties of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) make it a good technology for keeping cooling loops, process water loops and heat exchangers clean from fouling that can occur due to various contaminants in the water. Hydrogen peroxide works well in removing organic fouling on surfaces through mechanical means and in specific applications through biocidal mechanisms. Hydrogen peroxide can be used in a shock treatment mode where it is fed based on a timer set-up. It can also be used occasionally at higher concentrations for maintenance cleaning purposes of fouled heat exchangers, cooling water loops and process water loops. Performing an occasional shock cleaning of a heat exchanger with hydrogen peroxide can remove buildup from surfaces and can result in improved heat transfer efficiency. By removing surface fouling, hydrogen peroxide may also improve the efficiency of other biocides such as bleach, bromine and non-oxidizers.

Wastewater Treatment for the Pulp & Paper Industry

by HydroThane STP BV     based in KC `s Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS

The pulp and paper industry generates large volumes of highly heterogeneous waste waters containing compounds from wood or other raw materials, process chemicals and compounds formed during processing.

The waste water streams from pulp and paper vary greatly in concentration and composition. The waste water from mechanical pulping (TMP) and secondary fiber pulping as well as the condensates from chemical and semi-chemical pulping are typically non-toxic to methanogenic degradation and contain easily degradable organic compounds. Amongst various anaerobic systems, the UASB and ECSB (EGSB) processes are the most applied anaerobic reactor systems in the pulp and paper industry. The Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) process and the External Circulation Sludge Bed (ECSB) process from HydroThane are worldwide proven processes for the treatment of this type waste water.

Water oxidation for private an public drinking water

by Carus Corporation     based in Peru, ILLINOIS (USA)

Carus permanganates have been used in private and public drinking water applications for more than 40 years. Municipal drinking water plants use CAIROX® and AQUOX® potassium permanganates, and CARUSOL® liquid permanganate in both ground water (well) and surface water for Pretreatment, Pre-oxidation and Organics Removal. Today, municipal water providers face increased challenges as more stringent regulations are enacted and public awareness regarding water quality becomes heightened.

Wind Farm Noise Assessment by XL2

by NTi Audio AG     based in Schaan, LIECHTENSTEIN

One of the largest acoustic consulting firms in Australia was engaged by the New South Wales Department of Planning & Industry to conduct wind farm noise assessments. The goal was to perform a specialist, independent acoustic compliance audit of three major wind farms located near Canberra, Australia’s capital city. The objective of the study was to conduct a detailed noise assessment at residential dwellings near to the wind farms. Three wind farms near Canberra, Australia, were investigated. XL2 Sound Level Meters were operated on a continuous basis, typically over a six week period at each wind farm. The XL2 was battery powered to enable continuous noise logging for two weeks at a time at each residential site. The recorded data was then processed in accordance with the relevant standards specified in the conditions of consent for wind farms.
