Legal action aims to force EPA to finalise smog rules
A coalition of green and public health groups yesterday launched fresh legal action challenging the Environmental Protection Agency`s (EPA) controversial decision to delay new air quality standards intended to tackle smog.

Led by NGO Earthjustice, the group filed a motion with the US Court of Appeals in Washington slamming the agency for overseeing an "excessive and inexcusable delay" to the new rules and calling on the court to force the EPA to complete the roll out of new smog standards.
