AirMetrics
Started in 1992, AirMetrics is located in Springfield, OR, and is an enterprise fund of the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA). AirMetrics, in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, developed the patented low-flow technology found in the MiniVol Portable Air Sampler. The innovation resulted in the first saturation sampler of its kind, paving the way for portable air sampling equipment. The MiniVol sampler was a filter-based, battery powered air sampler capable of sampling for Particulate Matter (PM), both PM2.5 and PM10, and Total Suspended Particulates (TSP). The MiniVol enabled users to obtain baseline data where permanent federal reference method (FRM) monitoring sites have not been established, as well as obtain supplemental data to evaluate existing air monitoring networks, consistent with 40 CFR Part 58 – Ambient Air Quality Surveillance.
