Air cleaning system for the sports facilities

by Dynamic Air Quality Solutions     based in Princeton, NEW JERSEY (USA)

For cleaner air in health clubs, gymnasiums, arenas and stadiums, Dynamic Air Cleaners are proven winners. Dynamic Air Cleaners can be found at the UNI-Dome, home of the University Of Northern Iowa basketball and football programs. In a recent IAQ upgrade to reduce the ventilation air into the building, which was constructed in 1976, Cosatini Engineering (Chicago) used the Ashrae 62 IAQ procedure to calculate a reduction of outside air needed in the facility. The original plan was to use 95% cartridge filters with a bank of carbon to meet Standard 62 requirements. Dynamic V-Banks were used in place of the passive cartridge filters in two 125,000 cfm air handlers.

Solution for the produce cooling and icing

by Vogt Ice / Turbo     based in Louisville, KENTUCKY (USA)

Fresh vegetables and fruits products require ice and/or chilled ice for preservation of quality. Ice and /or chilled water are used at all points in the chain of produce processing – ice is added during harvest process to start removal of the field heat from the product, top icing during processing, and liquid ice injection of boxes prior to shipment to the market, or central processing areas, or the end user. Processing requires continuous temperature control to maintain the best quality and extend the shelf life of the product. The use of ice reduces bacteria or enzyme activity in seafood products, slows decay, and yields a higher quality grade. Ice provides a sanitary means for this preservation.
