Inflatable dams and spillway gates are widely used by small hydro operators to provide pondage during dry seasons or as diversion weirs for run-of-the-river hydropower schemes. Our products are chosen because of the ease of installation, ease of operation and the low maintenance required. This reduces both capital and operational costs for the investor.
Installation is straightforward and can be carried out by any qualified civil contractor (although an experienced Dyrhoff engineer will be on hand to advise when required). The inflation/deflation system is intuitive and operation can be performed by any competent technician following a short training course. Very little maintenance is usually necessary and, should repair be required, the procedures are straightforward.
