Liquid/solid separation solutions for the cheese processing industry - Food and Beverage
Specializing in state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems, at Heron Innovators, we provided a California-based customer with our advanced Suspended Air Flotation (SAF) system technology for their new cheese processing plant. Customized SAF systems remove suspended solids from wastewater with a high capture percentage and high hydraulic and solids loading rates. The SAF system installation was custom fabricated from type 304 stainless steel, and featured a Model F25 froth generator, Model CF125 ClearFloater™ flotation tank, a polyethylene conditioning tank with a circulation / mixing pump, and a polyethylene solids holding tank. The maximum height for the tallest piece in the multi-unit system is 9 ft. The completed SAF system has a flow rate capability of 260 gpm. This system is providing remarkable solid/liquid separation results. Data showed reduction of TSS by 98% and of BOD by 30% to 50%.
